Hello everybody,

today we have added the possibility for our users to login to View Docs Online with their Facebook account. What is the benefit? If you upload documents while you are logged in, then you will be able to see all of them in a dedicated section called “My documents”: to see this section you need to click on the link “My docs” present in the homepage. For more details  have a look here.

Please note that the login is an optional step: you can still use View Docs Online as an anonymous guest.

Many many users reported us the problem that they were not able to delete the documents once uploaded to View Docs Online. This was causing our users to contact us privately in order to remove their documents.

We are happy to announce that starting from now, our users have finally the opportunity to delete the documents they upload to View Docs Online: this is as easy as doing click on the “Delete” button that appears in the header of the viewer page.

Please keep in mind that the “Delete” button appears only for the documents you upload: this is to be sure that nobody else can delete the documents you uploaded.

A small technical note: to implement this delete feature we decided to use the browser cookies in order to avoid to introduce a mandatory registration step. This choice was made because we are well aware that our users like using View Docs Online without having to register.

Today we have added a feature requested by many of our users: the ability to write comments on each document you see thanks to View Docs Online. Together with a comment you can also give a rating to express your opinion. You can see an example here.

Hey all, we are happy to announce that View Docs Online is finally available to all of you: try it out and let us know your feedback!

To view a document in your computer, you just need to visit View Docs Online homepage, click on “Browse…” to choose the document and then click on “View Document”. That’s it!

If you just want to try it out, you can use the “URL” tab: an existing url is prefilled and hence you just need to click on “View Document”. Feel free to enter a different url if you want to view another document that is on the net.
